SCENES

All public scenes will be announced in the Scenes Announcement & Requests. I highly recommend that you subscribe to this forum for immediate updates to your email. I will do my best to announce scenes as early as possible to give players the best chances of being able to attend. Warning: While the majority of scenes (and all scenes significant to the venue will be announced) some scenes are done on the fly at the ST's whim. These scenes will not have heavy venue significance, but rather are likely done to cause some action/intrigue.

"HOW DO I GET A SCENE?"

If you're looking for a personal scene, for either yourself or a group to further a plot you're involved in, you'll need to make a scene request in the Scenes Announcement & Requests: ST Scenes: Scene Request Queue.

If you're looking for an information request, which would involve just your character researching or chatting with someone quickly (not necessarily deserving of a scene), you'll need to make an information request in the Scenes Announcement & Requests: St Scenes: Scene Request Queue.

Only one request may be in at a time PER PLAYER. If you become part of another player's request, that does not count against you. STs reserve the right to deny additional players to player requests.

XP & BEATS

"HOW DO I EARN XP?"

Each player automatically earns 3XP a month, handed out on the last day of each month. Spends may be posted and used until they are added the following month, so long as the player has the proper amount of XP banked. You may not spend 'future' XP, until it's handed out.

"HOW DO I EARN BEATS?"

Beats are logged by players and approved by STs. Beats are handed out at the end of the season (10-15 Venue Scenes) in XP for players to build their characters with. Charts with how to earn beats are located in your character forums.
"WHAT IF I DIE?"

Characters who die in game will earn full XP (not including beats) back to remake a PC with. Characters who choose to die or desanction in order to remake will earn New Character XP to remake with. While a player can remake after any number of deaths, remakes are only allowed once.

"HOW DO I SPEND XP?"

⌲ XP spends do not need to be justified if they are within obvious additions to your PC. If something doesn't quite make sense, ST may question it.
⌲ To spend XP, make a new reply to your sheet. Do not edit past XP spends. There should only be one reply per month.

"HOW DO I PURCHASE MORE EQUIPMENT?"

⌲ Equipment is harder to come by within One Fine Day. Perfects shouldn't have much more than their role calls for, but keeping items in secret is common. Wastefuls don't have a means of currency but instead barter or steal everything. If you'd like more items of any sort, discuss it with the ST. If a scene can be made out of it, all the better.

INACTIVITY & DESANCTION

To continue to play in One Fine Day, and earn XP, players must be active within their forums. I'll be looking for logged beats as a sign of activity. If you have zero beats to log, please post 'No Beats Earned' and we will still count you as active. If there is no log of beats, earned or otherwise, XP is not handed out for the month. If you go 2 months with zero beats logged, your character will be desanctioned.

"WHAT I MISS A LOT OF SCENES?"

To background roles and Wastefuls, this isn't a huge issue. But if you're playing a Starring Role and you miss a few scenes, there is a good chance you'll be bumped to a Background Role or even tossed to the Wastefuls. Missed scenes (without a heads up to the ST), are counted as your character screwing up, not showing up on time, etc.. And June looks upon this unfavorably. If you feel like you're not going to be able to play often, spare yourself the headache and do not take a Starring Role. Obviously life happens, so once in a while this isn't going to be used against you. But if it's a common occurrence, at the ST's discretion, you'll be demoted.

"WHAT IF I RETURN FROM INACTIVITY?"

Players may return from inactivity at any time. You will not gain XP for the month you returned under unless you play for 3 weeks or more. You may still earn beats. Players are responsible for getting themselves caught up on the current status of the venue. It is not the ST's job to run personal scenes to catch you up. Information will be available in the forums, on the wiki, and from other players. If you were demoted, you must now play in that new rank. If you want to rise back in the ranks, that's possible, but it starts at your return.

Players may only return from inactivity twice. If it's clear that you're going to keep coming and going, resanctioning and editing forums & wiki is a lot of work. We're not going to do this more than twice.
